We're making serious progress here on our Untitled Dreamcast RPG. I've been programming like a mad man for the last week and it's starting to show. Thanks to the wonderful KOS library for the Dreamcast, I was about to create the host for Lua. Now our game has the flexibility we need for content creation, only limited by our imaginations and Lua. For those who don't know, Lua was used by Bioware in Neverwinter Nights.

This text box is a called from a Lua script file when the user presses the A button. This just shows that Lua is in and working.

Well, back to coding extending the scripting system.

No no no, we're not dead. We just got incredibly tied up in a new game and I think the shots speak for itself that this game is shipping up well after 3 weeks of work. :) Now, please note that this all placeholder art as it's from Final Fantasy 6 and the portraits are from Suikoden 2. If you think you can help in this project and recreate the tilesets for us, then please email me and provide some links to your work or keep example zip's under 100kb. Thanks.

Main character, daylight. Test map.

Main character by night, speaking a witty cliche line ;)

Well, back to coding the demo.

Hey everyone, we are moving along nicely now, as you can see here we are looking for texture artists who would like to re-texture our models. Ryan did a good job on the truck. Yes we both realize there are flaws, like no wheel wells, but it looks like a truck, you can tell it's a truck. So anyways, again. We need a texture artist who'd be willing to re-texture our truck for free :) If you would like to help on the demo then please e-mail us. Oh yeah, and just in case there's any confusion, this is on the Dreamcast:

A milkshape capture of the second demo level. It features a truck.

Oh yea, I forgot to mention, check out http://boob.co.uk to see the news post about our videos.

In other news, mad advances were made on the second demo level last night. I have it half done. I also purchased Anatomy for the Artist: The Dynamics of the Human Form today. I'm going to model up some old naked people really soon.

Also, Derek you are to a monkey. Secrets and LIES! IT'S ALWAYS SECRETS AND LIES!

We have made the underground DC scene, click here to check it out! Not much but at least we're starting to get some recognition.

So onto today's news. I'm still implementing the bones setup for the models in the engine, but I'm hoping to having it working bug free in a couple days which shouldn't be too bad. Ryan (Yarn) and I did up a design doc which you can get as a pdf from the Dreamcast section. I'm probably going to add a projects section to the website soon, but I'm too busy right now to organize it such a fashion! :) We're hoping to have the demo finished sometime in January, but we should have a basic playable version before Christmas. Guess what your getting for Christmas Ryan? A copy of DC Beat-em'Up ;)
